Detection distance: 1.5cm (tested with white paper, Power supply: 3.3 to 5VDC, Operating current: 18 to 20mA at 5V, Operating temperature range: 0°C ~ + 50°C, Output: TTL(Black or no Obstacle = Logic HIGH, White or obstacle = Logic LOW)
Turning the potentiometer to the right makes the brick more sensitive and eventually the LED will start burning. Then turn left until LED just turns off.
